Volkswagen has refreshed the 2025 Volkeswagen Taigun, and it now

Volkswagen has refreshed the 2025 Volkeswagen Taigun, and it now comes with features that were missing earlier. With new tech, improved comfort, and no change in its fun-to-drive nature, the Taigun aims to stay relevant in the ever-growing mid-size SUV segment.

Sleek Yet Familiar Design

The overall design of the Taigun remains unchanged, but there are a few enhancements that make it feel more upmarket. You still get the bold front grille, LED projector headlamps, and the signature connected LED tail lamp bar at the rear.

The GT variants now come with new 17-inch alloy wheels, which look sportier. The build quality remains solid, staying true to Volkswagen’s standards. It’s not flashy, but has that European SUV charm that appeals to mature buyers.

New Features That Add Real Value

This update brings in some much-needed features. The biggest addition is the electric sunroof, which was long awaited by fans. You also get ventilated front seats, which are extremely useful in Indian summers.

The 10-inch infotainment system makes a comeback after briefly being discontinued, and it supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There’s also automatic climate control, a digital driver’s display, wireless phone charging, and connected car tech.

2025 Volkeswagen Taigun, has made the cabin feel a bit more premium, especially in the GT variants, with red stitching, aluminium pedals, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

Powerful Engine Options

The 2025 Volkeswagen Taigun, continues to offer two turbo-petrol engines – a 1.0-litre TSI and a more powerful 1.5-litre TSI. The latter is the one to go for if you enjoy driving. It makes 150 PS and 250 Nm, and comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic.

This engine is smooth, responsive, and surprisingly efficient, thanks to cylinder deactivation tech that shuts off two cylinders under low load. Volkswagen claims a mileage of 18.6 kmpl for the 1.5 TSI DSG.

Verdict – Is It Worth the Price?

Prices for the 2025 Volkeswagen Taigun, start from around ₹11.7 lakh, while the top-end GT variants go up to ₹19.9 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s not the cheapest SUV around, but it makes up for that with solid build quality, refined turbo engines, and now, a much-improved features list.

If you’re someone who values driving experience, safety, and a no-nonsense premium SUV feel, the updated Taigun is definitely worth a look.
