Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the much-anticipated Maruti XL7, a premium 7-seater MPV designed to offer SUV-like presence with the practicality of a family car. Based on the tried-and-tested Ertiga platform, the XL7 brings in a fresh look, enhanced features, and surprisingly efficient fuel economy — all while keeping costs low, including EMI plans starting under ₹10,000/month.

Bold Design with SUV-Inspired Elements

The new Maruti XL7 stands out with its bold front grille, chunky cladding, and all-black alloy wheels, giving it a more rugged stance compared to the Ertiga. The raised stance, roof rails, and smoked LED headlamps add a sporty edge. It’s available in several dual-tone colour options, including a striking orange-black combo that’s already catching attention.

Premium Interiors with 7-Seater Comfort

Step inside, and the Maruti XL7 feels a step above other Maruti MPVs. The cabin gets all-black interiors with contrast orange stitching, leather-wrapped seats, and a new SmartPlay Pro infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Second-row captain seats offer superior comfort for long journeys, while the third row is decently spacious for kids and shorter adults.

It also comes equipped with automatic climate control, push-button start, cruise control, and a reverse parking camera. The overall layout feels familiar, yet refreshingly upmarket.

Fuel-Efficient Engine with Hybrid Assist

Powering the Maruti XL7 is Maruti’s 1.5L K15C petrol engine with Smart Hybrid technology, delivering 103 PS and 136.8 Nm of torque. It’s available with both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. What really stands out is its mileage of up to 28 kmpl with the mild-hybrid system — making it one of the most fuel-efficient 7-seaters in India.

Safety and Practicality

The Maruti XL7 gets standard dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP with Hill Hold, ISOFIX mounts, and rear parking sensors. It also offers a flat boot floor when the third row is folded, making it ideal for weekend getaways or grocery hauls.

Pricing & Final Verdict

The Maruti XL7 is priced between ₹11 lakh and ₹13.5 lakh (ex-showroom), undercutting many rivals with more style and better mileage. With affordable EMI plans, low running costs, and Maruti’s trusted after-sales network, the Maruti XL7 makes a strong case for buyers looking for a stylish, practical, and fuel-efficient family car.

In short, if you need space, mileage, and style without breaking the bank, the XL7 deserves a serious look.
